Happy Fourth of July 2016

Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays.
I love patriotism,
...all things Red, White, & Blue,
pool parties,
American flags,
fireworks,
community parades,
& popsicles!

This year did not disappoint!  Thankful for a great holiday weekend!

The weekend started out with a great picnic at mom and dads house where the boys swam all afternoon! Wow- Grandpa can really throw them high!

We started the 4th out early for the parade at Market Street. One of my favorite events of the year!

Beckett loved seeing all of the sights at the parade!

The kids LOVED when they police cars drove by with their sirens!

Sullivan was in awe by seeing a "real hero". I love his enthusiasm!

After the parade we had an impromptu neighborhood swim party! We love our neighbors! So thankful!

We ended the evening with a family picnic at our Aunt and Uncle's house! And....got to celebrate baby A's first Fourth of July with her!

The boys were (honestly) not the biggest fan of the fireworks...but I think it was a great way to wrap up the eventful day!

Back in the Saddle Again

It's Not our First (Blog Post) Rodeo.

I have blogged before. I used to be fairly consistent. I got out of the habit when life got busier.

But I have missed it.

Well, after the big boys were so brave last week I decided I could be too. It is never too late to start something (again).

So I am back in the saddle!

Speaking of saddles.....

Last week we took the all 3 boys to the Walker County Fair and it was a hit! C and S got to be Rodeo Participants and go "Mutton Bustin'" (unofficial definition: dress like a cowboy, ride a sheep for as long as you can, and then all day long be super proud because you are "like a real cowboy").

It was so much fun!

Ready to see some action?!!!!
Sullivan's First Time to Mutton Bust

Camden's First Time to Mutton Bust

Camden looked so (ADORABLE) and serious!

Sweet M and her daddy! So thankful for such great friends!

Look at him (C) hanging on!!! He was so brave!

He gave that sheep a run for his money..!

Go Sullivan Go! His (silly) sheep came out of the stall backwards but S held on tight anyway!!!

 My handsome cowboys!

Beckett loved the livestock part of the day!

He could have stood there for hours watching the
momma cow and her baby!

S and the momma cow having a stare down! (look at that smile! Pure Joy!)

( I think I know what they might want for Christmas!)

Their bravery continued on throughout the night...
by picking the FRONT seat on the roller coaster!

They were amazed by the fireworks!Look at those baby blues!
The big boys getting a close-up look at some of the rodeo animals.

 Some sleepy cowboys right there!

I am going to be posting several times a week to archive for lost time. I have so missed Chronicling our family adventures!
