June Happenings

JUNE 2014

End of June blog post already?!? How is that possible? How is it possible that our family will grow by 2 feet in about 7 weeks???? Oh my! So with that being said, the boys and I have been trying to make the most of our time together! And enjoy it we have!

The boys went to their first Kids Week (VBS) at our church (www.churchproject.org) at the beginning of June. They seemed to really like it (and were exhausted when they came home!)

Morning at the mall with Grandma! So fun!

Learning to build Legos all on their own. Pretty impressive.

The boys helping daddy put together the baby's changing table.
Happy Fathers Day to two amazing fathers! We had a great day of swimming and fun!

The boys picking out a movie to watch for our family movie night!

….a little library fun! (trying to learn how to navigate a mouse…doesn't help when the screens are touch screen :)

Nesting.

(I tried to explain the game. But really we just ended up stacking the pieces and knocking them over. Way more fun!)
 Choices. Choices. Choices.

A little playdate fun!
Riding the dirt hills to pass time! Camden can ride his "big boy bike" with no problem- no training wheels. Sullivan does a great job also but is a little more reserved and would prefer his balance bike.

Camden listening to the baby's heartbeat. Look at that growing baby (and tummy! hen…looks a little lopsided?)

And finally some park silliness! Love my boys! Wonder if I will have another? (boy or girl….what are your votes?)

The very merry month of May (as seen from cell phone pictures)

May 2014

The boys got a lot of Legos for their birthday and they are LOVING them! We spend a lot of time putting things together!

We also love game night (or afternoon). Operation is their newest favorite!

Look at those big boys at their 4 year old doctor appt. They love to read and this day was no different. They waited patiently and looked through the pictures! (warning * bragging mom moment…they were even so brave that when they got their shots they did not cry AT. ALL. They winced and said "mom, that hurt but I am okay". Wow! So brave and big. I am very proud!)

Cheers to our dear friend Erin! Happy birthday and what a wonderful night out!

Just a relaxing morning on the patio with Cady and coffee :).

We tried to spend a lot of time with our good friends during the month of May before they moved to Portland (boo!). This is not an unusual sight below: Camden dressed up as a superhero of some sort and loving on an animal.

Grandma and Grandpa went on an Alaskan cruise in May and they brought back "real snow"!!!! They boys loved making the snow with Grandpa!

Chris and I took a little weekend get away (before baby comes in August) to Houston. First stop….Food truck for lunch! Probably the best tacos I have ever had! You should look them up if you are in Houston!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner!
 ….and a little spa treatment!

…please excuse the messy counter, but thought it was time for a belly picture!. I was 28 weeks in this pic.
…and lastly a great picture of us with some of our favorite friends. We miss them already so much!

4 Years Old- Happy Birthday Boys!

…and just like that they are 4.

The boys turned 4 on May 11th. What a fun age!
When we started talking about birthdays, they each wanted a very different type of party.
Sullivan wanted a "train party".
Camden wanted a "super hero party".
So, we combined the two (the best we could) and had a train/super hero party.

Here are just a few pictures from their fun day!

This was the first year that they truly told me names of friends they wanted to invite. It was really sweet! They are both very social and LOVE their friends.

The day after the party was their actual birthday. We celebrated with candles and….DONUTS of course! (It was also Mothers Day. What an honor to share this day with them!).

We also took them to the zoo and rode the train like last year. Not the best picture, but caught them telling me how old they are now!
