Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

What a wonderful Christmas!!!!!
Hard to believe we are already two days into 2012! We got to spend some special time with family and friends and we really enjoyed having time off with our little guys (who all of a sudden are no longer babies at all, but full-fledged toddlers....walking around and talking all of the time).

Here are just a few of my favorites.

Cam loves the new magnets.....

Daddy helps the boys open lots of gifts. Everyone was so generous!

After sitting so nicely in church on Christmas Eve, the boys took a break and wanted to check out the manger scene.

(Sully is blowing out his candle...heehee!)

Christmas morning at the house. Look what the boys found under the tree?

...and in their stocking...

Yum! Stuffed Steak for dinner. Thanks, Grandma!

(Thanks, Scott, for my new camera lens! Love it!)

Winding down from all the festivities....

...and ringing in the New Year!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!

All Aboard!!!!

Last weekend we had the priveledge of taking the boys to the North Pole via the Polar Express! We had such a great time! It was fun to be with our family/cousins and to watch the awe from the boys.

We sang songs.

We drank hot chocolate.

We wore our PJ's.

We rode on a real train!

We saw Santa.

We got a bell.

We heard the bell.

What a privelege it is to be a parent.

Cousin P. had his golden ticket!

The boys were checking it out!

They each had their own ticket!

Sullivan watches out the window as the train is about to start.

Camden loved the lights.

(I love this one because you can see the conductor out of the window)

They served us yummy hot chocolate and a cookie!
They each got a bell.

They danced.

They got to meet the train conductor.

It was fun to spend time with our family!

Seven.

As I have shared in other posts, when my boys were born a bond was formed. Not only was this bond between our family (and our newest additions), but also between friends. We have made such great friends with a few families. We share the common bond of not only the NICU experience but also having twins. These moms are so special to me. We hope to be able to share in this journey together for a really long time.

So...yesterday we had our little playdate Christmas party. I think this sums it up. When we left we all looked at each other and (in a very proud manner) said "I think the kids were all very good." Suddenly we all laughed a little bit and then realized that while yes, they were very good....our expectations of what it will be like with SEVEN children under the age of 2 have changed...just a bit! So, although we moms didnt sit around quietly sipping coffee while the children played nicely on the floor (haha!), we had a wonderful time!

(and yes, there are seven babies. yeah for siblings of twins!)

Rockin' around the Christmas tree...(literally)

The boys literally got to "rock around the Christmas tree" thanks to their grandma and grandpa. Their Grandpa made them (yes...made them...he is so good!) their very own rocking horses! Such lucky little boys.

They LOVED them!

(picture quality is not great. Sorry!)

Deck the Halls....

Today, a Black Friday tradition, we decorated our tree. It was a little different with the "help" of two toddlers.

I love this one. I love how Sully is watching from the background :).

Cam hands me the ribbon...
haha. a few things going on in this one. That look that Sullivan is giving is too funny. Then...notice Cam blowing on the "hot" lights.
Cam takes a break to play with his nativity set that we found packed away from last year.

A face only a mother could love: llama.

We stumbled upon a petting zoo today. Literally. It was so much fun! What a great way to spend a morning. (Check out Cam walking around!)
haha. a face only a mother could love. heehee!

Look at those baby blues :).

Cam loved to pet the llama!

I think the llama found a friend....

Sad.

Did you ever wonder what it means to be an "alumni"?
I think that the past few days I have fully understood.
I think that associating with a place as an alumni means...
that even when you are physically still far away from that (school),
you feel joy when "they" do.
and unfortunately sometimes you also feel sorrow.

I am a proud Penn State Alumni.
I am sad by the recent news.
I really don't even know what to "blog" about.
I wish I knew the "truth".
I wish that nobody was ever a victim.
I hope that you will join me in praying for the victims.
I hope that you will join me in praying for Joe Paterno.

(I had to dress the boys in some blue and white today.....it's the least I could do...)
