Halloween 2013

We let the boys pick out their own costumes this year and there was not debate- they wanted to be SUPER HEROES!!!!!

They were so cute! They really didn't want to take the costume off. And still….several months later, we dress up as "piderman" and "batman".

What a fun Halloween!

Carving pumpkins with our friends.

Cam was trying out his costume.
Superman did not like getting his hands dirty.

We are so lucky to have such close friends in our neighborhood!

 Waiting patiently.
 Grandma loves her super heroes!

October Phone Pics.

It is fun to look back through phones and see the pictures that we just take of "life" on a daily basis. Here are some picture from the month of October.

  • Chris and Cheryl's birthday night out with Brit. Such a fun evening!
  • Playing outside and having picnics with neighbors. We love our neighbors!
  • A little backyard home remodelling
  • Daily life with 3 1/2 year old boys playing inside (usually make believe!)
  • Trolley rides
  • Helping mom grocery shop
  • Breakfast with our cousin
  • Bookstore with Grandma

San Diego Pictures September

While we were in California we had the privilege to have our pictures taken at the beach! We had a few "mishaps" while getting the pictures done….but they turned out great! Thank you to Melissa Parsons Photography!

Look! A seashell!

Sullivan had fallen asleep on the drive to the beach (after a long day of travel from TX to Ca) and was not quick to wake up...

Just love this picture of Cam!

…and while we were having fun…Cam got a little too close to the approaching tide…..
…and it took him under…(funny now but scary at the time!)

…me trying to not look scared for him...

..so much for our coordinating outfits. It. was. cold!

Disneyland! September 2013

Disney(land) through a child's eyes will definitely be on my "favorites" list as a parent. We took the boys to California at the end of September. We were so thankful to be able to stay at Chris' aunt and uncles house and not only got to enjoy great company, but also see the sights of Southern California! We had a fabulous time…and are already considering going back next year!

The boys are great travelers! This was the first trip where they walked around the airport a lot and weren't always confined to their stroller/carseat. They even carried their own "luggage".

We have learned not to travel anywhere without cars! It keeps them entertained anywhere they go….

Upon arrival at Disneyland we saw our first character! The boys weren't exactly sure what to think?….

About to ride his first ride! (Toy Story)

CarsLand was definitely a hit! They loved Maters ride!
 …and they even saw McQueen!
 …and a "real" firetruck!

..taking a break while we wait for Mickey.

They were in awe! (but did ask why he didn't talk?. Explain that one?)

A little parade time.
Love this picture! Such sweet memories!

Sully especially loved the parade. He loved seeing and saying hello to all of the characters.

Yep. They convinced us to get a souvenir. But how cute is this? Couldn't say no….

After our day at California Adventure, we had some beach time. The water was too cold but the boys loved playing in the sand.

While we were at Disney, the Halloween Party was going on. So, we dressed up our super heroes and off we went! It was a wonderful way to enjoy Disney!

Camden LOVED going trick or treating at Mickeys House.
 Candy break.

Looong day. Waiting for another parade before we headed home.

Before we headed home, we took the boys to San Diego and spent the day at Hotel Del Coronado (one of our favorite places!). It was the perfect end to a memorable trip!

….until next time.
