Happy Easter 2014

Easter 2014
We had a few great Easter celebrations this year!
It was beautiful weather…and what a great season to celebrate the Life we have been given in the Resurrection!

..let the egg hunt begin!

The boys are into Superheros this year so they got Batman and Superman Easter Buckets (and umbrellas, and legos, etc..)

It was so fun to be able to spend time with our cousin baby W!

(Believe it or not the ties were their ideas!)
Daddy was a good sport and helped the boys to build MANY lego sets on Easter morning!
 Camden helping with the directions.

The finished product!

New Life Tradition

Butterflies
We started the "tradition" last year of raising butterflies from caterpillars and releasing them (around) Easter. The boys (and I) love this! They excitedly get the caterpillars in the mail and then we raise them and learn all about their stages of life. It is such a neat time to learn about nature and how sometimes we take something not so pretty (the caterpillars are kinda gross looking') and it becomes beautiful!

This became part of our breakfast "routine" (eating cereal outside while watching to see if the butterflies would hatch).

Family Beach Get Away- Galveston 2014

We had a wonderful weekend get away just the 4 (almost 5) of us! The boys LOVE the beach! It was pretty cold so we only got one good "sand castle building day" in but other than that it was the perfect long weekend away from the normal routine.

Can't wait to schedule another one….

Our vacation began with a little lunch at Fishermans Wharf! The boys loved seeing the "real pirate ship" behind us!

After we got checked in…..they were so excited to walk to the beach!

…and I was excited to finish my book!

After a nice afternoon at the beach, we took the boys to the Aquarium to have dinner! They were fascinated (who wouldn't be..do you SEE the size of that fish?)

Making fish faces :)

Walking around Kemah…..enjoying the beautiful evening!

Friday (above) was a beautiful day!  Amazing what a difference a day can make…Saturday at the beach was not quite the same…It. Was. Cold!!!!!!!

So we didn't stay out very long. But what is the perfect thing to do on a windy day? …...
 FLY KITES!!!!!!!

And to top it all off, we spent the rest of the cold, windy day at the Train Museum.

We couldn't call ourselves official tourists without a dinner at the Rainforest Cafe…..complete with the Volcano Dessert!

….and here is how big my belly looked after eating that dessert! (otherwise known as 21 weeks)
