One Month!

Baby Beckett is one month!!!!!! We are enjoying (and getting used to) the addition of a newborn around here! His big brothers love him so much and are such great helpers! Life around here is pretty "SUPER" (almost every day we have someone dressed in a super hero costume! Hard to not look around and smile…even on little sleep!).

Ah……cute!

Playdates with friends are the best! (looks a little like the Village People have moved in…)

We love visitors!
They big brothers have been asking for a while to feed the baby…..last week we let them! They did such a good job and were so gentle!

While the big brothers are at school, B and mommy get some snuggle time!
Making apple pie for the approaching "fall-like" weather! I have great helpers!
 Might be my new fav…..!
(He is clearly very excited about the Penn State vs. Rutgers game?!?)

They love to help daddy! (gloves and all!)
….and finally we saw temperatures below 90. So to celebrate we had a Pumpkin Spice Latte! Yum!!!!!

We do lots of fun things…but this is where we spend lots of time..snugglin' in mommy and daddys bed catching up on sleep!

Baby Beckett- 3 Weeks old

Beckett is 3 weeks old today! Here are some picture from "life" around here.

He is doing great! He is back up to his birth weight (and beyond)- yeah! He is pretty content during the day (and sleeps a lot!). Nights are a different story. He is pretty fussy at night and awake for a few hours. This is tough, but since 3 weeks flew by…I am sure that this "season" will too!

First doctor appointment.
(stats: 8 days old: height 19.5", 7 lbs 15 oz)

Yep. Soooo sleepy!

 Bedtime stories.

He is usually awake from 6-9 pm. I love being able to see his eyes.
 Outside "playing" with brothers :).
 (love that little mohawk)

Second real bath. He wasn't really sure what to think?

Grocery shopping with mom while brothers were at school.

Tour de France….(almost).

I am not sure if I have shared this before or not….but the boys can both ride their big boy bikes sans training wheels! Camden has had this mastered for a while now (probably about 6 months) and Sullivan wanted to wait until he was a big brother (his words!). So a few days ago we braved the heat and hit the road where BOTH boys are now able to make it all the way around the cul-de-sac with no help!

So proud of them….and they are very proud of themselves!

(I love this picture because I "caught" Cam looking back at his cape and how it was "flying" in the wind because he was going so fast.)

Pre-K….one step closer to high school graduation.

So maybe the title is a bit dramatic…but I feel like this Tuesday when the boys went to Pre-K (mother's day out) they grew up before my eyes.  They were so excited to go and said that "big brothers are allowed to go to school because we are so big"!

I am so proud of my tiny miracles and love that they have a zest for learning! The former teacher in me is jumping for joy as I get to see my own kids begin to fall in love with school!

So, Sullivan and Camden…here's to many years of learning (and many packed lunches!).

They were so proud to carry all of their stuff!

Happy boys!

After their first day of school…it also happened to be Free Lego Build at the mall! So we went on a little mommy/son date!

Day 2. Daddy got to come with us to take us to school!

I can't believe it! The first of many school papers coming home…..how do I begin to know which ones to keep?

Dear Beckett Michael,

Welcome to our family, son! We were so excited that you joined us on August 14th at approx. 7:30 am.   We had our guesses that you might be a boy…but didn't know for sure until you arrived and we couldn't be happier!

Mommy carrying you at 38.5 weeks. Not much room left!

August 13, 2014. Your big brothers (and us) were so excited to meet you and become a family of 5! (Just moments after this picture was taken we headed to the ER for a 3 hour wait b/c your brother Camden bit his tongue pretty bad (long story!).  It ended up okay- just waited a long time and then had a late night "snack" at IHOP before the "soon to be" big brothers spent the night at Grandma and Grandpas house.)

6:00 am at Memorial Hermann.
Waiting to get checked in. Nervous and excited!

Here are your big brothers all ready to come to the hospital to meet you!
Aren't they handsome!

"selfie" taken right before I headed into the operating room.
At approximately 7:20am you were born! Everything went great! This is a picture of daddy getting his first good look at how perfect you were! Look at all your hair!!!!!

Look at you! This is the picture we sent to family (via text) to let them know that we had a BOY!!!!

Finally…I got to meet you!

Thanks to the nurse we got a great picture of us with you!

So alert! Probably excited about meeting your brothers!

And then mommy got to hold you! What a sweet moment! You snuggled right up!

And one of my favorite moments ever- introducing you to your very proud and excited BIG brothers!!!!!

The first time that Camden got to hold you! He LOVED it!

The first time Sullivan got to hold you!
The next day- Camden couldn't wait to come hold you and begin to tell you stories!
Your big brothers are awesome- you soon will find out!
You got to come home on Sunday morning, August 17th. What a great day!

The neighbors were even excited and put up a sign just for you!

Happy (almost) TWO WEEKS OLD, Beckett Michael.
More pictures and stories to come…..trying to soak up every minute of baby time and big brother time for now!
We love you!
Love, Mom & Dad
