It has been an "Overall" great day! (heehee!)

What a great day today was! It was beautiful. Dare I mention that this week the "lows" are predicted to be in the 20's. This weather is SO STRANGE!

Here are some pictures from our day!

Sullivan kickin' back outside.
The boys feeling the (probably super uncomfortable) grass. (They weren't there long...don't worry! It was just for the photo op!)

Yum! Butternut Squash. Thanks Erin! Cam is loving it!

....and Sullivan....not so much.

(Thank you Aunt Sue and Uncle John for our favorite bibs ever! Go Steelers!)

Stats.

I just don't want to forget, so I thought I would record the most recent "stats" here.

At 81/2 months:

Camden 16lbs 15.6 oz (come on...lets just say 17 lbs. Wowsa!), 2 feet and 3 inches "tall" (ha!)

Sullivan 13 lbs 12.2 oz (alright little buddy! Keep eating those veggies!), 2 feet and 1.75 inches "tall"

Sorry. That's all for now. Back to a nice cup of coffee, the smell of a nice spring scent in my tart warmer (I am ready for spring!), and listening to the "cast of glee" on Pandora.

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

Dear Tooth Fairy...

Tuesday, January 26, 2011
I am writing to let you know that you have another patron. Our sweet boy, Camden, just today got his first tooth. I just thought you would like to know. (Don't hold your breath though...he isn't planning on losing it for a while!)

Sincerely,

A mom who can't believe her son already has a tooth!

carrots.

It seems like every day the boys are learning something new. I wish I could be that on the ball. I am trying to memorize scripture (this week it is Ephesians 2:10) and I really have to work hard at it. I am inspired that one day Cam can't really stand on his legs and the next day...viola! He's got it! How amazing is that? I am fascinated by how much learning is happening every moment. When they say that the formative years are from 0-5.....wow...they must be right! Certainly if they can learn how to roll overnight, I can memorize the a verse, right?

Lets see. Sullivan rolls everywhere. He weighs (about) 13.5 lbs. He loves to stand on his own two feet. He is really getting the hang of eating solids. I think that we have seen him scooting around a little (definitely not ready for that one!?), and he has found his feet (so cute!). His hair is growing, and it is super blonde.

Camden now has found his feet. He can stand on his legs, he has rolled, but isn't as interested in it. He laughs all the time. He fights naps (he would rather be awake hangin' out; we are working on that one!), but sleeps through the night beautifully. He loves bathtime, and I think his hair might be kind of curly?. He weighs (about) 17 lbs.

Kind of sharing a toy?

I am lucky to be friends with some moms who have twins and we have decided to tackle the task of making our own baby food. So, we are splitting the duty. The theme of my day today was: carrots! I may even have to make a carrot cake because I am just that inspired by the color orange today.

(sorry for the picture quality? Not sure what happened?)

Thank you.

Thank you God for the simple pleasures in life, such as the sound of a baby giggling. Enough said.

(I especially love how we are tickling Sully to get him to laugh and behind us Cam is just giggling "just because").

Our little world travellers!

I have been so excited to blog about our recent excitement. The boys went on their first long trip to California to keep dad company while he had to work, as well as visit family. They did such a great job! Travelling with twins is...well, a lot different. They were so pleasant the entire time and we had so much fun having them meet their family on the West Coast. We can't wait to book our tickets to travel to PA and WVU......

Here are some (well, okay...a lot of) pictures from our travels.

Sullivan and mom waiting at the airport.
...looking around and watching the tv.

Our first family trip. The carriers made it nice to be kind of "hands free".

Okay. So I hesitated to include this one but have to. This is my "do not try this at home" picture. Sullivan has learned to roll and he is really good at it. He fell asleep in his carseat while visiting Grandma so I left him in his seat (unbuckled...yeah yeah...I know!). When I went to check on him, this is how I found him...sound asleep! Ahh....poor little guy!

(how funny! This is one well-fed kitty cat!)

The boys with their great-great Grandma. How lucky are they?!

Meeting cousin J. for the first time. They look pretty excited to meet her!

It was great to see the family!

The boys with their Great-Grandparents.

Getting to meet more cousins. Cam wants to see so badly but just hasn't mastered the "roll over" thing just yet.
Sullivan loving to spend time with Great Grandma Gi-Gi.

While Chris worked, we had a lot of time in the hotel. We enjoyed playing in the "living area".

One night, we bundled up and headed to San Francisco. Cam looks cozy and warm.

Sullivan is trying to stay warm under the blanket.

"Enjoying" clam chowder by the bay was a little different this year than other years past....

We snuck in a shot of us while we tried to catch a glimpse of the sea lions (there aren't many at Pier 39 anymore? I wonder where they went?).

Bath time is always fun...even at the hotel.

Cam enjoying some room service in his fancy robe (heehee...I love this one!)

One bored mom + camera + two cute babies = lots of random pictures in the hotel room.

So eating solids is a little messy...so we just took this chance to get another bath. (We laid down towels and then filled the tub partially full. The boys loved splashing around! I hope they enjoy the pool this summer as much as they like the bathtub!)

So, we might have been on "vacation", but some jobs just go with you wherever you go! Bottle washing and making was a little different at the hotel, but we made it work!
Whew! What a great week. But we were all ready to come home! Cam and daddy on the plane home.

Sullivan lounging on the flight home.

The end!
