Merry Christmas!

Today is such a strange day. Christmas is over, yet all the decorations are still up, music is playing, and it still feels like Christmas. How wonderful would it be if everyday really felt like Christmas?

Thank you to all of the families for thoughtful gifts, great food, and amazing company! To all of our family who live far away...we miss you lots and can't wait to see you (hopefully) soon!

Here are some pictures from our holiday.

Cam scoping out the presents....
Cam.....saying something like: "mom...a bow tie...really?"

Sullivan kinda likin' his snazzy look.

All dressed up for church, Christmas Eve.

And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care!

Family. What a great day!

This picture is really special because these stockings are the ones we used to tell my parents that they were going to have TWIN grandsons/daughters. This year they were filled with goodies.

Cam playing with a cool toy .

Sullivan...done for the night.

sneak peek...

I just have to. These turned out so cute I have to show a sneak peek of our Christmas pictures. (um...yeah, so about our Christmas cards. I am going to be sending mine out a tiny bit late this year. I think one could call them "fashionably late", or maybe just late. Either way, they will be more like "happy new year cards". Opps!)

So, thank you, Lauren, for taking these adorable pictures.

Serious Sullivan, looking quite dapper in his little hat (thank you, cousin Pierce, for letting us borrow that!)

My little Happy "Cam"-per (haha)

Dear Santa.

Dear Santa,

We are so excited to be able to meet you for the first time! We really don't need or want much this year. We are just so excited to have our Health, which we know was really a gift from God! But....maybe if your elves have a little extra time, you can bring us some extra diapers, wipes, and formula since mommy and daddy go through a lot of those!

P.S. Santa, did you know that we are now 7 months old? We are getting so big! We have tried some solids, like rice and barley, but to be honest we don't really like it. (yuck!). We roll over more and more each day and can hold our heads up for a very long time! We are still super sleepers....and now are big enough to sleep in our own cribs and not on an incline! Our favorite time of day is when daddy gets us out of bed in the morning and takes us down to mommy to snuggle!

Thank you for the candy cane...maybe next year!

Love,
Cam and Sullivan.

Friends.

Tonight I am just getting ready to call it a night and I just feel so thankful for good friends. I love friends that you can just chat to about anything and call at any hour of the night. I love the ones that send text messages that are just so funny....they make you cry when you read them (you know who you are!!!!).

Today I got to spend some time with some new friends...and so did Cam and Sullivan. Tonight I got to spend some time with more friends. It was energizing. Thank you, Chris, for watching the boys so that I could have some girlfriend time. Thank you boys for going to bed at....6:30 pm (yeah...I am a little nervous to see what time they wake up in the morning?!?).....and thank you to good friends!

The boys tired after a fun afternoon with their buddies!

Look at us! Whoever said preemies aren't strong? (Sullivan spotted the camera)

The boys. (Sullivan, Cam, and their friend S.)

Let the holidays begin!

I love this time of year. I love the decorations, festivity, and the joy that (most) people seem to have. We are well into the Christmas season here at our house. Our tree is up, the house is lit, and there are presents under the tree. I have the boys' Christmas outfits picked out and we got an adorable "first Christmas" ornament in the mail the other day from our cousins (Thanks Bo and Mason!).

Life continues as normal around here. The boys remain healthy and growing daily. I have had to pack up most of their newborn and 0-3 clothes, although Sullivan can still wear some of them. They have had one RSV shot and will continue getting those monthly until we are out of "RSV season". As I posted on before, they are troopers when it comes to trips to the mall (even at 4 am) and remain to be very content and pleasant babies. We have learned they do need their sleep and when it is interrupted.....we will pay the price!

Aside from babies...Chris and I are excited to celebrate our 5 year anniversary in a few weeks. Crazy! We just love this time of year!

Here are some pictures from "life" around the Butler house.

Cam and Sullivan hangin' out on our bed.

A day trip to the Renaissance festival. It was the perfect weather!
Our Thanksgiving table setting. (decorating is my favorite part next to baking the pumpkin pies!)

Our first Thanksgiving together.

The cousins. (I promise that our babies are happy babies. They DON'T look like it at all in this picture. What kind of face is Sullivan making? Ha!)

Ahhh.....how sweet! Look at how much they have grown!

Where's Waldo? (I mean, Cady...our kitty cat?)

Sullivan all worn out from his second Thanksgiving feast. Night Night. (thank you, Uncle Aaron, for our favorite little stuffed animal!)

Black Friday....we (all!) survived!

It is 9:15. We are home. We have been to the mall, out to breakfast (well, Cinnabon :), another store, and are now resting in the warmth of our home as it is (finally!) chilly here. The fireplace is lit, the babies are in their Christmas pj's, and there is a smell of turkey and pumpkin pie still lingering from our Thanksgiving feast yesterday (pictures to come later). I think it is a good morning. Pretty soon the tree will go up and the hot cocoa will be made. Yes...it is definitely a good morning. (

Chris gets Cam to smile....I think they were laughing about how crazy it was to get up at 4:00am!

Our happy baby...even while at the mall before daylight.

Sullivan not sure what he thinks about all of this?

Coffee....the key to success this morning! Happy Black Friday!

(Thank you grandma and grandpa for the warm, cozy pj's!)

Shutterfly...is SUPER FLY!

This blog isn't going to be about babies, but instead a little "commercial" for a great website that I have been using for about 5 years now.
